My Bakersfield

Community Meetings

Being a part of Making Downtown Bakersfield! We held two community meetings and 11 vision workshops for the City of Bakersfield’s High-Speed Rail (HSR) Station Area Plan. Below is information on what was presented and what we heard back from the community:

2nd Community Meeting (March 30, 2017)

Our second community meeting was held at the Fox Theater downtown, on March 30, 2017. Over 140 participants provided input and ideas on the new Vision for downtown. Over the course of the past year and a half, the City and community of Bakersfield have been developing a vision for the City’s downtown with High-Speed Rail. Making Downtown Bakersfield has developed a strategy to make downtown High-Speed Rail ready. The meeting we presented the new Vision for Downtown and recognized the Stakeholder Committee for their volunteer efforts and shaping the new Vision.
