City Recruiting for Director of Technology Services

The Director of Technology Services is a division manager position within the City Manager’s Office, overseeing a budget of $7.4 million and leading a staff of 38. The division manages and maintains the technology assets of the City, including computer, phone and radio infrastructure. The position reports directly to the City Manager.

The ideal candidate will develop and direct the implementation of goals, objective, policies and work standards for the City’s central information technology function; develop both long and short-range plans for hardware and software upgrades; confer with City management to prioritize applications development and enhancement requests; analyze City department business operations to evaluate the need for and make recommendations for the effective use of equipment and personnel; establish City-wide standards for hardware, software and local and wide-area networking technologies for use by City departments; evaluate and justify City information technology budget requests; direct and administer the budget for the division; and plan, organize and evaluate the work of professional and technical support staff.
