Senate Bill 1 Projects Underway in Bakersfield

SB 1 provides critical funding to cities across the state to improve road conditions throughout communities. The City of Bakersfield is estimated to receive $86 million over the next 10 years to fund much-needed street maintenance projects.
Current Projects:
Pavement Rehabilitation:
- A Street from Brundage Lane to California Ave – anticipated to start in Summer 2018
- Hughes Lane from Wilson Road to Ming Avenue – anticipated to start in Summer 2018
- Auburn Street from Oswell Street to Fairfax Road – anticipated to start in Spring 2018
- Truxtun Avenue from T Street to Beale Avenue – anticipated to start in Fall 2018
- Wilson Road from SR 99 to Real Road – anticipated to start in Spring 2018
Maintenance Grinding & Paving:
- Allen Road from Olive Drive to Reina Road -– anticipated to start in Spring 2018
- Bernard Street from Union Avenue to Kern Street – currently in progress
- Campus Park Drive from Old River Road to Buena Vista Road – currently in progress
- Miramonte Drive from SR 178 South to City Limits – anticipated to start in Spring 2018
- South Half Moon Drive from Ashe Road to Edgemont Drive – currently in progress
