Overnight road work next week means nighttime lane closures at multiple locations on Highway 99.
Starting on Monday, September 16, the outside lane on the southbound side of the 99 will be closed between California Avenue and Palm Street. The closure will go from 9 each night to 5 the next morning as crews perform electrical work. The closures are expected to end on Thursday, September 19.
There are also planned nighttime closures on the northbound side of the 99 and the eastbound Highway 58 connector ramp starting Tuesday night for paving. The closures will also run from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and are expected to end on Thursday.
Drivers looking to head east on the 58 from the northbound side of the 99 will need to exit the freeway at Ming Avenue and follow the detour to northbound H Street. You will be able to access the 58 at the H Street interchange.
Southbound Wible Road, between Belle Terrace and Ming Avenue, will also be closed on Monday, September 16, during daytime hours for a concrete pour. Southbound motorists will be detoured at Belle Terrace to H Street then south to Ming Avenue.
Work may be rescheduled without notice due to unforeseen circumstances. Please slow down and watch for construction workers and equipment while driving in the vicinity of this work. The Thomas Roads Improvement Program apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause the traveling public.
