The new northbound State Route 99 to eastbound State Route 58 connector bridge is expected to open early Wednesday morning, November 13. This will require nighttime lane and ramp closures Tuesday night, November 12, beginning at 9 p.m.
The overnight closures include the existing northbound-to-eastbound connector ramp and the two outside lanes on northbound State Route 99 in this vicinity. One through lane will remain open to northbound traffic. The southbound State Route 99 to eastbound State Route connector ramp will also need to be closed for a short time prior to the traffic shift.
Northbound-to-eastbound traffic will exit at Ming Avenue and head east to Chester Avenue. Motorists can then enter eastbound State Route 58 from the on ramp at Chester Avenue.
During the short southbound-to-eastbound connector closure, southbound-to-eastbound traffic will exit at California Avenue and head east to Chester Avenue to connect with eastbound State Route 58.
The old northbound-to-eastbound connector bridge is scheduled for demolition the week of November 18. This will require an around-the-clock closure of Wible Road between the northbound State Route 99 on-ramp and Belle Terrace. The closure will affect both directions of travel. Wible Road business access will be to and from Ming Avenue during the closure.
Work may be rescheduled without notice due to unforeseen circumstances. Please slow down and watch for construction workers and equipment while driving in the vicinity of this work. The Thomas Roads Improvement Program apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause the traveling public.
