Back by popular demand, the City is pleased to announce the return of monthly, low-cost animal vaccine clinics in your community.
Beginning Saturday, January 11th, the City Animal Control Unit will offer low-cost vaccine clinics at local parks each month, making it more convenient for you to keep your furry friends healthy and happy.
The clinics will be held on the second Saturday of each month, from 9 a.m. to noon. The full 2020 schedule (subject to change) is listed in the PDF linked below, as well as on the City Animal Care Center's website and the Bakersfield Police Department's Animal Control page.
The monthly clinics will offer a more convenient option and better accessibility for City residents to access services.
At each clinic, City residents can have their pets vaccinated, licensed and microchipped. Spay and neuter vouchers from the City of Bakersfield and volunteers will be on hand to discuss spay/neuter options.
Although clinics will no longer be held at the Animal Care Center, low-cost options are also available through our community partners now more than ever before. We will provide lists of all participating partners available at the clinics, as well as below.
The City will evaluate the effectiveness of this new clinic schedule throughout the year as well as at year’s end to ensure we are delivering services in the most efficient, convenient and effective way possible.
