Crews to Resume Rehab Work on Manor Street Bridge Over Kern River

Expected to be completed by late July 2020

On May 11, 2020, the City of Bakersfield will resume work on the rehabilitation of the Manor Street Bridge over the Kern River.

During the rehabilitation of the bridge, traffic will be reduced to one lane in either the northbound or southbound direction. On direction will be closed at a time depending on the work being performed each day. Detours and alternative access points will be provided during these closure periods. This will result in traffic delays, so drivers are advised to use caution and to use alternative routes or to allow extra travel time through this area.

The work requiring closures for this project is expected to be completed by late July 2020. The City thanks the public for their patience and understanding during the completion of these improvements.
