The Bakersfield Police Department Community Collaborative (BPD-CC) is seeking community input on local police reform efforts through a series of “Listening Sessions.” These are open forums for the public to share their experiences, insights and ideas. The events will be facilitated by and for community members, not by Bakersfield Police Department staff.
Three “Listening Sessions” (90 minutes) will be held via Zoom (all recorded) on;

During the “Listening Sessions” community leaders involved in the BPD-CC will provide background on the project and discuss developing recommendations for their respective committees which include; Building Trust and Legitimacy, Communications and Community Outreach, Use of Force Policy and Oversight, and Officer Training and Education.
